The best drag act in her price range, Heroine has been entertaining audiences in Toronto and throughout Ontario for twelve years. A drag comedian who has put several all you can eat restaurants out of business, she has gained a reputation as being Toronto’s “Funny Girl”.

Her drag career began as a prank during Halloween 2007 while she was finishing her journalism studies at Ryerson University. She caught the “drag bug” and began an adventure in lipstick and lip synching that has allowed her to travel and bring her brand of comedy to countless cities across Ontario. She adopted the name “Heroine” for stage to represent all the strong female leads that she idolized as a child. Her biggest comedic influences include Joan Rivers, Lucille Ball, Catherine O’Hara, and Carol Burnett.

She has won several prestigious titles in Toronto including Zelda’s Drag Idol, One Night Only Drag Race, Miss Crews & Tangos, and Queen Of Halloween. As a producer, she has organized several major events and fundraisers in the Church Wellesley Village, including her monthly event “Camp” that ran for a year at Glad Day Bookshop.

Since 2018, she has been working at and studying comedy at Toronto’s legendary Second City. Thanks to her training, she was able to write and release her first book “Homo For The Holidays: Making The Yuletide Gay With Minimal Effort”.

Currently she is expanding her horizons beyond lip synching and transitioning into more stage and comedy sketch performances. She is working on her next book “Tying Up Split Ends” as well as a one woman show of the same name.

You can catch her weekly at Woody’s (467 Church Street) on Sundays at 9pm.
